Geek Mook
It’s not a magazine or a book it’s a mook! Well that’s what one reviewer at Amazon called it. I’m talking about Make: technology in your time. I haven’t had the chance to look over a copy but from the website, what subscribers say and some scanned articles it’s pretty cool.
There are articles on the site which aren’ t in the magazine. There’s also a blog, podcast and flickr group! It’s published by O’reilly which also make the now famous programming and tech books. It’s DIY for geeks!
I’m sure I’ve seen a similar yet more sedate magazine with less technical content…unfortunately the title and website eludes me. In that one they showed how to make a CD holder from lego and old 5 1/4″ floppy disk casings (as protectors). Okay I admit that one sounds more like a geeky interior design mag.
