Don’t you find it annoying when shopping catalogs try and explain what digital technology really is?
They have little boxes with ‘helpful hints’ and ’special facts’. Yet you’d learn more in a product manual. One of my pet peeves is the way digital camera resolution is marketed. The more megapixels the better is the adage and […]

With the help of flickr and some code you too can have random letters to make up any word you fancy.
You can get the addresses for fixed images or run the script to get random letters.

This is too good to be true. A ‘printer’ which uses water to create images. It’s really like a fountain with drops coming out at set times instead of a continous flow of water. It’s still hard to get my head around it as the picture it creates must go by fast. The company has […]

It’s not a magazine or a book it’s a mook! Well that’s what one reviewer at Amazon called it. I’m talking about Make: technology in your time. I haven’t had the chance to look over a copy but from the website, what subscribers say and some scanned articles it’s pretty cool.
There are articles on the […]

I am starting to wonder how long Australia will stay in this fashion rut. I mean for the last few years there hasn’t been too much of a difference in menswear. Sure, trends have changed and every year women get new designs. Yet for men there doesn’t seem to be much variety.
A couple […]

Moved to a new host, thanks to my friend Tony for giving me some space until I can find my own.
Unfortuntely I hadn’t backed up regularly so most of the new posts on the blog were lost. Which is annoying as I actually bothered to make some long and meaningful right ups….kinda hehe

I was trying to come up with an interesting tagline for this blog when I came across a site which was facing the same dilemma. They solved their tagline writers block by Trying the Advertising Tagline Generator. The one I liked was “Life’s Pretty Straight Without Metallic Rhapsody.” (I might change that if I get […]

Over the last year it seems blog’s have become ubiquitous on the internet. I remember late in the 90’s everyone getting their own personal webpages on geocities, tripod etc. It didn’t matter if you had no real content, just post some family photos, hobbies, links and you were all set. But people began to put […]

What follows below was originally on {http://www.redscreen.net/photolog/}
As the site seems down, I decided to post the info, as it might be of interest to others.
Please not that the images are presented at the size of 110×83 (from google) and not the original 300×226 as I did not get the chance to save them.

Ukraine has won the Eurovision Song Contest for 2004. Getting a record breaking 280 points!
Ruslana got the audience worked up with her ‘tribal’, ‘Wild Dances’ song.
Although much of the words seemed nonsensical, it was a catchy song in a primitive sort of way.
View the lyrics from the winning song here. I’ll be adding more lyrics […]

The Eurovision Song Contest is on once again! This year they’re doing it a little differently with two rounds of singing instead of just one.
This year it’s being held in Istanbul, Turkey.
I’ve been watching the ‘countdown to eurovision’ these past few days on SBS. It’s funny what each of the australian commentators thought about each […]

Thank you Elise! I was wondering how I could display individual categories without having it list all the posts under one category. I was going to use my modified code but yours was so much better!
Visit Elises site to find out more about displaying categories.
I’m starting to get the hang of this CMS.
